If you have ever been to summer camp, day camp, or any form of camp in general then you will definitely remember the song “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold” I thought for this week I would share a Bible verse that stresses the importance of friendship. I value friendship and family above anything else and as the cliche saying goes “I don’t know where I would be without my friends today”. But I truly believe God places people throughout our lives to help shape and mold us into the person we believe we can be.
When we reflect on those friendships lost, it is important to remember the good times and how that person may have been there for you throughout your life. They may have been a support system for the good and bad, a great friend to laugh with, or someone you know you could call for dinner when no one else could go. The important thing is God placed them in your life to help you.
Friends are who we go to for advice, laughter, a shoulder to cry on, encouragement, etc. It is important to remember how all of our friends have provide at least one of those on a daily basis.
